Boxing Day is here, and with Christmas Day behind us, it’s time to turn our attention to the New Year—both conceptually as 2025 approaches and in preparation for the celebrations. The New Year holiday has always been one of my favourites, especially because, in the post-Soviet space, it was (and still is, for those still living there) the primary holiday of the season.
In this tradition, New Year’s is the time for family gatherings and exchanging presents—not Christmas. To add to the uniqueness, Christmas is celebrated later, on January 6th to 7th, following the Eastern Orthodox calendar. It might sound a bit confusing, but it works beautifully within its own rhythm.
With that festive spirit in mind, I thought this would be a great moment to do two things:
1. Provide a clear, actionable outlook for the year ahead, because this is when forward planning really kicks into gear.
2. Extend a festive offer for those who aren’t yet full subscribers to join at a special rate.
In this post, I’ll delve into the particulars of the Chinese market—an area in my viwe rich with opportunity as we head into 2025—and also announce a special festive discount. Starting today, December 26th, and running through to Eastern Orthodox Christmas on January 7th, you can take advantage of this offer to subscribe and join our growing community.
